It is the policy of TextReviews LLC to protect the confidentiality of all aspects of the review process for it's editorial customers and reviewers. The TextReviews web application provides these protections through many operational security features.
In addition to these software measures, the company has a number of procedural policies to prevent email or other business communication from compromising the proprietary aspects of the review process for our editorial customers.
User contact information provided in connection with performing reviews (including name, username, school, postal address, e-mail address, telephone number, education, and password) will be retained by TextReviews as part of your reviewer account information, and will be accessible to other publishers utilizing TextReviews in the event you agree to perform reviews for them. Information contained in your Reviewer Profile (including courses, textbooks and enrollment) will be retained by TextReviews, but will NOT be shared with third parties for which you have not agreed to perform reviews. All information you submit in connection with performing a review, including your Reviewer Profile Information, may be shared with the publisher for which the review is performed. TextReviews may disclose personally identifiable information under special circumstances, such as to comply with subpoenas.
We take precautions to ensure the security of your personal information. However, we cannot guarantee that hackers or unauthorized personnel may gain access to your personal information despite our efforts. You should note that in using TextReviews, your information will travel through third party infrastructures which are not under our control.
TextReviews reserves the right to perform analyses of user behavior and characteristics. We also collect IP addresses for system administration, problem diagnosis and record keeping. Your IP address is automatically assigned to your computer when you use the World Wide Web. Our servers record incoming IP addresses. (Think of an IP address like your zip code; it tells us in general terms where you're from.)

A cookie is a small amount of data, which often includes an anonymous unique identifier, which is sent to your browser from a web site's computers and stored on your computer's hard drive.
These cookies must be enabled in order for our website to function, we are not able to operate without them. They are related to core functionality of the website and related services.
We may also use "web beacons" that allow us to collect information about your response to our web-site or e-mail communications. Web beacons are images placed on a Web page or e-mail, that can tell us if you've gone to a particular area on our site or processed an email. For example, if we send you an e-mail inviting you to a review, the web beacon will tell us that our e-mail communication with you has been successful. We do not collect any personal information with a web beacon.
